Event Time and Date

Saturday, August 26 2017, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
62 Days until this Event

The American Red Cross National Home Fire Campaign has an initiative to reduce the incidence of death and injury due to home fire. Their services include installing 3 brand new 10 year Kidde and providing home fire safety education to the residents. There are no restrictions as to who is eligible for their services, so they try to reach as many home as possible. A key part in getting these request is canvassing neighborhoods. Students will be given a map and assigned areas to go door-to-door and inform community members about their program. This canvassing event will help them gear up for a very large National event on October 14th, 2017 when there is a goal to install 700 alarms in the City of Rochester.

Students will have to dress appropriately for the weather. Water will be provided because you will be walking the full 2 hours. Please wear casual walking attire and closed toed shoes.
